My Background

As a student in the Los Angeles Unified School District, I always wanted to serve the very same institution of which I am a product of. I remember telling my fourth grade teacher, Mr. Griffith that I wanted to be a school teacher some day. Today, I am proudly serving my community in my eighth year as a teacher at Foshay Learning Center, which is also a California Distinguished School.

Although my short teaching career only spans eight years so far, I have gained a wealth of experience through a total of fourteen years in education. During my eight years as a well trained and highly-qualified teacher, I have taught many core subjects including; English, History, Math, Science, ELD intervention, Reading. Furthermore, technology is a tool that I use in my classroom daily. As a teacher with an M.A. degree in Educational Technology, Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) is a huge part of my curriculum. Currently, I teach 6-8 grade Technology, where through my instruction and the use of various computer suites students learn vital skills such as project management, analytical skills, innovation, and organization.
